Info:  Up for auction today is a genuine Louis Vuitton golf bag. The front compartment has a perfectly round leather medallion with “Louis Vuitton” , the “LV” logo, and “Made in France”. Liner is a cream color with a small diamond pattern.
It was purchased by a local doctor in the early 1980’s. He bought it from a friend of his, so exact age is unknown. This bag stands 34″ tall without the snap on hood installed. It is about 15″ wide, and the mouth is about 8.75″. There are 3 compartments. All of the zippers work freely, and each zipper pull is marked on both sides with “Made in France” and the “LV” logo.
The only know issues are (1) a single “loose stitch” and (2) a small mark where the previous owner had his name on a sticker. Both of these are shown in the 4th picture. Shown in the 5th picture is an area under one of the straps where the leather isn’t quite as pliable as it could be, but by no means brittle. A little saddle soap would probably fix this, but we did not want to alter this bag in any way.
